The Path of the Lost is the second song of the album Road To Square One, this song shows the perspective of the father after being diagnosed with Alzheimer.
To give you some background, we are talking about a man from a poor family who left his house at the age of 14 to work and only 2 years later he moved out of the country to continue his studies working at night and studying during the day to eventually become a successful business man who drove across the country twice a week to go to meetings, building sites, meals, a man who lived his life eat his fullest, his work was his life, his party, his hobby, and even a restless man like him eventually formed a family which was his pride and joy, but that didn’t stop him from working and doing his life as usual, spending months away from them.
Until after a few months of suspicious behaviour the fears were confirmed, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer, suddenly, someone who thought nothing could stop him found himself lost in the thought that he could recover and he would be able to fight such disease, although the only thing there was left to do was to let him accept the truth, the song goes through the emotional roller coaster full of ups and downs as he fights his own thoughts of false security slowly coming to the conclusion that all the people surrounding him will become unknown as he slowly recedes in his mind forgetting his most recent memories to eventually even forget who he is.
